Cannabis News and Views – August 8th Supervisors Meeting, ordinance amendments!
The County of Mendocino Board of Supervisors opened up public comment on the new cannabis ordinances and regulations. In the aftermath of this comment period we will evaluate the comments and discuss with our guests the difficulties, trials and tribulations of navigating today’s regulatory environment.
Our guests this evening are:
Attorney Chantal Simon-Pietri. Chantal is a Consultant, Mediator and recently a founding Partner of Streamline Solutions, a cannabis compliance consultation and services company based in Ukiah. She was the Cannabis Program Director with Village Ecosystems in 2016 and in such role was an inspector with the Mendocino County 9.31 program. Chantal moved to Mendocino after receiving her Juris Doctor degree from Vermont Law School in 2003 with a focus on Environmental and Water Law. Prior to that she completed graduate coursework in Water Resources Management and Development from the University of Colorado at Boulder and an undergraduate degree in Geology with a focus in hydrology from Western State College of Colorado.
Ron Edwards, Cannabis Breeder, Owner/Consultant for CKA Nursery in Willits, CA. For the last two decades, Ron Edwards has been involved in the cannabis industry. First, from my NCGA Seeds Company in late 1993 to presently consulting and producing our Natural Day Length clones. Over the past year, I have traveled to various conferences and attended seminars to improve my knowledge on various aspects of the cannabis industry. I have worked with county, state, and federal agencies to have a fully compliant business. Further, I have consulted with others navigating the regulatory environment.
