Miles Arthur Everett April 11, 1950-October 26, 2012
Miles Arthur Everett died on Friday, October 26th at the Mendocino Coast District Hospital. He was 62 years old. Miles was born, April 11, 1950 in Billings Montana to Arthur and Eleanor (Strunk) Everett.
As a child he lived in Montana; Rantoul, Illinois; Oklahoma; Newfoundland; Chicago and Ashland, Oregon, where he graduated from high school. As a young adult, Miles attended Southern Oregon College (now known as Southern Oregon University). Miles was a life-long advocate for democracy. He often carried a copy of the Constitution in his shirt pocket. In his final years his profession and avocation was bringing public access television programming to the communities where he lived. His friends could always count on him to join them for a good cup of coffee and an informed and spirited political discussion. In Fort Bragg he volunteered many hours for community advisory committees and for the Senior Center.
Miles’s sisters, Claudia Everett, of Ashland, Oregon, and Sami Scripter, of Portland, Oregon invite everyone to join them in remembering Miles on Saturday, December 1 10:00 AM, at the Redwood Coast Senior Center, 490 North Harold Street, Fort Bragg, CA 95437.
