In response to the proponents of measure C;
How can we be asked to commit to a 10 year parcel tax when the current board committed to a 4 year contract with Edwards while 4 out of 5 board members are leaving the board this year. The morning after,
It looks as if two coast candidates Ted Williams and Chris Skyhawk are moving on to the Fall elections in the 5th and there will be a runoff in the 3rd District between John Haschak and John Pinches. If the count holds, it looks as if Michelle Hutchins will be the next Superintendent of Mendocino County Schools, having held above the 50% mark, with the gap widening.
Measure C doesn’t look to have enough votes to pass with 63.28% yes votes, yet needing 67%. Measure G, the campground TOT doesn’t have enough votes to pass, falling far short of the mark at, 46.53%, yet needing 67%. Katrina Bartolomie ran away with the vote for Assessor / County Clerk with 2/3rds of the votes cast, 66.95%. Everything else on the County Ballot passed by an overwhelming amount, being common sense measures or by running uncontested.
